The 8-week Exposure to Construction Trades program gives participants the basic skills to pursue entry-level career opportunities in construction trades.  The program includes basic tool safety, exposure to tiling, drywall patching, repair, and an introduction to basic framing and plumbing.  Within the 8 weeks, participants complete shop projects that support them in developing confidence with power and hand tools, safety processes, and basic construction skills related to carpentry and plumbing.

Participants would receive the following:

  • Basic tool safety
  • Exposure to tiling
  • Introduction to the basic framing
  • Introduction to basic plumbing
  • Exposure to drywall patch/repair
