Small Business Foundations for Women

Small Business Foundations for Women is a FREE course funded by the Hamilton Community Foundation/Women4Change. The program is being offered by the Industry-Education Council of Hamilton, This program is limited to the women or female identifying community members over the age of 19 years old. In this course, participants will:
  • build confidence to start a new business.
  • be able to describe their own personal skills that will contribute to their success as an entrepreneur.
  • improve presentation skills while learning to develop and deliver a business pitch.
Upon successful completion of the course and business pitch, participants will be eligible for a City School Micro Certification.
The ONLINE Small Business Foundations for Women course will take place over 6 weeks beginning on January 18, 2021, and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  This means that in order to participate, you MUST have access to a computer (or similar device - tablet, etc.), an internet connection, and be able to be "present" during scheduled class times.  Course content will be accessed through Mohawk College's MyCanvas program and will be shared with students once they are confirmed and enrolled in the class.
