Introduction to Small Business and Entrepreneurship

The Introduction to Small Business and Entrepreneurship is a FREE course funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation in partnership with City School by Mohawk College, The program is being offered by the Industry-Education Council of Hamilton, This program is limited to persons over the age of 19 years old. The course will teach participants how to:
  • Develop a comprehensive business plan.
  • Connect with business professionals in the local community .
  • Learn to manage a small business.
***Please note that due to COVID-19, we have postponed our April 2020 offering of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship course and have decided that we will offer this course ONLINE beginning in June 2020.*** The ONLINE Small Business & Entrepreneurship course will take place over 12 weeks beginning on June 1, 2020 and will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 12:30pm.  This means that in order to participate, you MUST have access to a computer (or similar device - tablet, smartphone etc.), an internet connection, and be able to be "present" during scheduled class times.  Course content will be accessed through Mohawk College's MyCanvas program and will be shared with students once they are confirmed and enrolled in the class.
